Royal Family & Market Weekend
THE FUN STARTS HERE
It’s “Royal Family & Market” weekend and the grand opening of Robin Hood’s Medieval Faire. Gather your friends, family, and pets and celebrate the good, old-fashioned way.
While you visit, please take part in the Sheriff’s Challenge: Shop our themed artisan marketplace, where you can earn complimentary General Admission tickets to return to the Faire. Be sure to request your special Market Receipts, and when you collect $200 or more, turn them in at our information booth before the weekend ends to get your reward.
Spend $200 at the Faire in a day (or over our opening weekend) and then turn in at least $200* in receipts at our info booth (near the front gate) before the weekend ends and receive a complimentary ticket to return this season. Be sure to get your official Market Weekend receipt with each purchase.
* Restrictions: Admission, food, drinks, and games do not count toward the $200 minimum requirement. You must request a special Market Receipt from the merchant at the time of purchase. You can turn receipts in at our Information Booth at any point during Faire hours. You must turn in your receipts before the end of the weekend to receive your reward.
SATURDAY
Neighbor Appreciation Day: To show our appreciation, we provide complimentary admission to all Harwinton residents and their children on our Neighbor Appreciation Day. Acceptable forms of ID include a driver’s license or state-issued ID bearing a Harwinton address or a household bill (electric, gas, water, etc.) with a Harwinton address. Youth (7-15) receive complimentary admission when accompanying a parent or guardian from Harwinton. Children (6 and under) are always free.
Royal Adult Costume Contest (ages 16+): Dress as a king, queen, prince, princess, lord, or lady. Standout participants will win prizes. No registration is required.
- Prizes: (First) Three Robin Hood General Admission tickets, (Second) Two Robin Hood General Admission tickets, (Third) One Robin Hood General Admission ticket.
SUNDAY
Free Kids Day: On this day, we provide complimentary admission to the Faire for all Youth (ages 7-15) when accompanied by an adult with a paid general admission. Children ages 0-6 are always admitted at no cost when accompanied by an adult.
Childrens’ Costume Show: Take a walk and bow on stage to the sound of applause in this costume show for children ages 0-15. No registration is required.
- Prizes: There are no prizes for this event other than the adoration of the audience.
Royal Family & Market Weekend Shopping Spree: We’re celebrating our opening weekend with a shopping spree for our family and friends. Collect special Market Receipts as you shop and then turn them in at our Information Booth to earn complimentary tickets to return to the Faire.

Contest Info: All contests occur on the Crown Players Stage at 3:15 pm. Unless otherwise mentioned, the Faire includes these events with your same-day admission. If you are planning to enter a contest, please arrive 10-15 minutes before starting. At the discretion of the contest host, some events may choose to limit the number of participants in a particular contest due to time restrictions.
