OUR OFF SEASON
If you’ve worked in theatre before and understand set design, we need you. We’re looking to create amazing sets, paint them, and impress the public with your mad skills. All set design takes place during our offseason.
10 SAYS BEFORE OPEN
If you’re good with a hammer and simple outdoor work we could use a hand. Help us set up stages, hang signs, and decorate the fairgrounds with a Renaissance flair. This may involve some lifting and starts 10 days before we open.
DURING THE SHOW
During the show, we need help in our box office, greeters at our front gate, and security. Greeters need to have Renaissance Faire attire. Working in the Box Office and security can involve everyday attire for the weather.
AFTER THE SHOW
It takes us 10 days to set up the show and only 3 to break it down. The breakdown is fast-paced. We could use a hand taking apart stages, packing things up, and tidying the site. Like setup, this may involve some lifting.
If you have any questions about volunteering, please contact us at helpout@ctfaire.com. When you are ready to sign up, click the button below, and follow the instructions.
We do not offer refunds or ticket exchanges including refunds for closure due to weather, acts of god, or other reasons beyond our control. It is our intention to remain open during inclement weather. Please contact us before heading out at 860-478-5954.
All guests of the Faire may take photographs or video for personal use only. No commercial photography. For the safety of our guests Faire management reserves the right to ask any individual on the premises to stop on site photography or videography at any time for any reason. All attendees, whether paid or free admission, grant The Connecticut Renaissance Faire permission for their photograph to be used in our collateral materials. Parents or guardians of a child grant the Faire permission to use their photograph in our collateral materials.
Guests are welcome to wear family-friendly costuming to get into the fun. Costuming doesn’t have to be “Renaissance” as we’re a fantasy-based event. Come as you are or as you wish to be… Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Superheros, Villains, Stormtroopers, etc. Costume weapons (swords, for example) must be peace-tied at the gate.
The site is wheelchair accessible with some steep slopes in places. Sorry, we don’t have wheelchairs for rent.
No outside alcohol. Faire management reserves the right to inspect any guest containers (backpacks, bags, purses, bottles, etc) at any time.
Be aware that there are numerous ticket scammers on Facebook claiming that (for whatever excuse) they can’t make it to the Faire this year and want to sell their tickets (usually cheap). Scammers are also able to print fake tickets and attempt to sell them in our parking lot. We cannot guarantee the validity of these tickets. To avoid being scammed we recommend purchasing your tickets through our website or at our box office on all Faire days.
